You will not find another 1936 Rupert Bear Annual on the Internet of this quality or price.
1936 ORIGINAL ANNUAL AND COMPLETE WITH THE DUST JACKET WOW. Boards are so bright and clean and brilliant red with Rupert reading a book in dense black, the merest hint of bump to the top and tail of the spine, just lovely. Inside there is the indentation of indecipherable writing in the belongs to box just a name slight very foxing spots to this page and the last page, all the rest of the pages bright and clean, the colouring competition on page very carefully done in part, the binding is sound. Again just beautiful. The dust jacket is housed in an acid free protective cover, a few(4) very small archival tape repairs to the reverse, small chips and tears. There are three small areas of loss to the front panel. Please study all of the photographs. This is the Holy Grail of Rupert annuals and I don’t anticipate seeing another one for several years, it has been more than ten years since I saw the last one, and that was not in such good a condition as this fine copy. Any collector or collection would love this one. As a bonus this also comes with 12 newspaper cuttings of the Rupert daily cartoon from the Daily Express of 1936, again WOW!

We have just started our Rupert Bear Stories category on our website. We get lots of emails from people looking for an annual they once had when young, but cannot remember the year only that it had a story in it about “Rupert and the ……..” .

This original 1938 rupert annual is now only £267 a special offer reduction of %40
A nice copy of this very early annual. The condition is classed as VERY GOOD, the board covers are nice and bright with shelf wear to the edges, the spine is full and complete with only an oval stain 2cm x 1.5cm over the word Rupert. There is foxing to the first 4 and last 2 pages and foxing to the page edges, the “belongs to “ box was filled in but has been erased and there is an inscription “from mummy 1940 “ inside the rear cover. The pages are nice and stiff and the binding tight and sound. A well looked after Rupert Annual that will complement any collection.

Fabulous, this copy in MINT- condition. The coloured paper board covers are fabulous condition, the corners are pin sharp and square, the spine full and well defined with just the mearest hint of a bump to the top and tail. Inside the belongs to box is empty, not price clipped not a mark or touch at all, none of the puzzles are touched and every one of the stiff and firm pages so white and clean, sound to the binding a true joy to find. This annual will stand proud in any collection, a joy.

Oh what a joy this copy in MINT- condition, this annual in this condition so very hard to find. The laminated board covers so clean and bright, bursting with colour, all of the corners pin sharp but the top corner of the rear cover some wear, the spine just lovely, full and well defined with just a hint of bumping to the top and tail. Inside the belongs to box is empty, not price clipped and every one of the oh so white and clean pages firm to touch and sound to the binding, bursting with vibrant colour, just a dream. The Magic Paintings untouched but for a finger tip smear to page one and two, look at all of the photos. So wonderful to find an annual in this condition after 46 years, must have been kept in a dark cupboard and ready to grace any collectors shelf.

Very rare and hard to find in FINE+ condition. The glossy laminated boards are so bright and clean and bursting with colour, the corners almost pin sharp hardly a hint of bumping, the spine full and well defined, the top and tail the most minor of bumping, lovely. Internally there is a name in the belongs to box “jonathan p”, not price clipped and every page stiff and firm, sound to binding, clean white pages hardly been opened in 46 years. The Magic Paintings are untouched just a tiny end of finger touch to the fourth and sixth, look at all of the photos. A truly wonderful copy so very hard to find in this condition and would grace any collection with pride.

Oh so very hard to find, this copy in FINE- condition. The glossy laminated board covers so very clean and bright, bursting with colour, the corners at the bottom edge showing only minor bumping, the corners at the top minor bumping with some wear, the spine full and well defined the tail some bump and wear the top bump and wear, small repair which is firm, small crease to the bottom right hand corner. Internally there is a name in the belongs to box “Jonatan p” neatly in a child’s hand, not price clipped, none of the puzzles touched including Rupert’s toy camera, the Magic Paintings are untouched maybe the odd what appear to be tear drops of a tiny finger touch if you can find them, the pages are clean and white bursting with colour and firm to the binding. A cracking annual so hard to find in any reasonable condition. Suitable for any collection.

Wonderful in FINE + condition a real joy. The laminated board covers just lovely with just a hint of marks to the front and rear in a certain light and lovely square corners with the mearest hint of bump, the top and tail of the spine the most minor of bumping the rest of the spine full and complete. Internally ther is an inscription in the belongs to box “Valerie Coulson Greensleeves Holtby York” in a childs hand, not price clipped there are some ticks in biro in the contents box. The painting contest has just been started to a very high standard and a name written in the entry form, but none of the other puzzles are touched. All of the pages are clean, white and bright, sound to the binding and bursting with colour. A gem of an annual for any collector.

1957 Stock No. RBA 341 £ 95.00
O what a joy, in MINT- condition. This annual hard to find, the laminated board covers without a blemish, a slight lean but almost certainly this was due to the printing process. The corners are pin sharp, the spine full and well defined with not a hint of bumping. Inside there is an inscription in the belongs to box “Robert James Sales Christmas 1957 from Mummy” in an adult hand, price has been reattached very cleverly the painting competition is untouched as are all of the other puzzles and things to do. The pages are pristine white and clean, sound to the binding and bursting with fun and vibrant colour. So very hard to a copy of this annual in such good condition.

1955 Stock No. RBA 340 £ 105.00
This hard to find annual in VERY GOOD condition. The laminated board covers clean and with hardly the tiniest of marks, the corners lovely and square with the mearest hint of bumping and a tiny point of wear to the top right hand corner. The spine full but bumping and a split to the top and tail with what looks to be a very good resticking repair to the top of the spine, but still a really good looking annual. Inside there is a name only in the belongs to box “Lynda” and not price clipped. Internally the painting contest has been completed to a very good standard, all of the wonderfully white clean pages are sound to the binding and bursting with strong vibrant colours. A few faults but still a wonderful annual now so very hard to find.
